On our original Staff Communications Day, all those years ago, we could only dream that the day would come when we would run out of space for our staff communications day in the hospitality suite of New Lawn, the home of Forest Green Rovers FC. And yet, with 60 new staff in one year, taking us up to 287 people, it was quite an effort to squeeze everybody in for our annual catch up this year, as noted by Sales Director, Brian Cooke.
Brian talked about the sales for the last year and the pipeline figures, pointing out that a new venue would have to be found for next year as UKPS intends to continue to grow in order to embrace new opportunities in the future. Finance Director, James Trumper, followed him with some excellent financial news and an explanation of how the company’s income is spent. Operations Director, Nick Wright, talked about training and the new gas training video before all three Directors proudly awarded certificates of achievement for completing the UKPS Graduate Programme and the UKPS Assistant Project Manager Programme.
HR Manager, Hannah Matthews took the opportunity to remind staff of the excellent benefits available to them as employees of UKPS and HSEQ Manager, Martin Corby reminded everybody of the importance of being aware of Health and Safety issues.
The announcement that Infracapital, the infrastructure equity investment arm of M&G Prudential, has invested in UK Power Solutions Ltd means that UKPS has the capital required to expand further to take on additional projects.
