Senior CAD Technician, London

We are currently looking for a Senior CAD Technician, London to join our growing Design & Planning department at our West World Office. Could you be the perfect fit?

About the Role:

Using AutoCAD 2D, the Senior CAD Technician, London, will prepare detailed drawings associated with the construction and installation of New Electricity Contestable Connections up to and including 33/66kV and provide AutoCAD training for graduates and support for junior member of design team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Preparation/production/amendment of drawings throughout project lifecycle in line with UK Power Solutions CAD standards
  • Coordination with other CAD technicians in the production of drawings
  • Ability to understand and apply design engineers’ instruction within the remit of individual projects
  • Willing, keen and able to develop expertise in the role
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with UK Power Solutions procedures and customer requirements
  • Keeping abreast with latest AutoCAD/Revit software
  • Delivering AutoCAD and company process training to graduates and junior CAD Technicians
  • Updating UK Power Solutions CAD standards
  • Uploading drawings/documents to client collaboration websites

What we are looking for:

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of latest AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit is desirable
  • Knowledge of Electricity Distribution Systems
  • IT literate such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


  • Successful candidates should have minimum 5 years 2D CAD experience with an Electrical and/or Civil background.
